Episode 19:

Founded in 1843, Child & Family Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the well-being of children and families in our community through mental health services, adoption programs, and family strengthening initiatives. The organization is built on the belief that strong families are essential for thriving communities.

Today, Child & Family Services is one of the largest and most comprehensive social service providers in southeastern Massachusetts and the largest provider of adoption services in Massachusetts. The agency also operates three Community Behavioral Health Centers(CBHCs) located in New Bedford, Fall River, and Plymouth, each offering 24/7 Mobile Crisis services, 365 days a year.

Murphy and Others, Living Interdependently for Future Endeavors, Inc. (M.O.L.I.F.E., INC.) is a non-profit organization assisting people with disabilities across the South Coast region. They provide support for these individuals through supported employment, independent living and educational opportunities, as well as community and social connections.

Walt’s Mobile Closet is dedicated to creating an inclusive community where everyone feels respected and supported, no matter their background or identity. With a strong focus on serving the local area, the organization strives to make a meaningful difference. Partnering with other groups along the South Coast, they offer free clothing to those in need.

The name honors Founder and Executive Director Whitney Tully’s father, Walter, who had a deep love for beautiful clothing and always strived to look his best, whether tending to his expansive garden or working on his cherished Corvette.

Episode 16:

The Veterans Association of Bristol County is a local non-profit whose mission and great honor for the last 40 years has been to serve all who have served or are still serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Their collaboration with community partners provides meaningful and compassionate support to military Veterans and their families, fosters healing and growth, and helps these individuals thrive in the community during and after active duty.
